England 4 ( Hurst 3,Peters) West Germany2 (Haller, Weber). England captained by Bobby Moore. Ken Wolstenholme " some people are on the pitch, they think its over, it is now..." And to think, I thought West Ham would (could) win the league the next season!

The Germans still say Hurst's second goal wasn't over the line!
They're probably correct, but it serves them right for starting two world wars.

1860 is a good shout. WHU played them when they opened their new ground in Munich in 2005 (1-1)

Lucky England didn't have to play the whole of Germany.
The past was great but let's live in the present.

Surely WHU have a plan in place for a major pre-season game at the OS on Saturday 30/7/16 to mark the 50th anniversary.
What better date could there be for us to play our first game at our new home?
Ideas for opponents? I'll kick off with a couple of obvious candidates: Bayern Munich (who'll probably give us a good hiding) OR TSV 1860 Munich.
